While COVID-19 continues to miraculously vanish as the Midterm Elections creep closer and closer, a thought struck me this morning:

The document through which our Founding Fathers established our Republic, the United States Constitution, did not call for a separation between average Americans and Elitist Politicians.

In fact, when our Sovereign Nation began, being a politician was not an occupation.

Those who governed us were average Americans just like those whom they chose to serve. And, when their term of service was over, they returned to their previous jobs in their communities.

People reach out to me all the time looking for hope, and I’ve got plenty, because things are breaking our way. You have structural factors like the fact that incumbents tend to win, particularly when the economy is improving and we’re not in some idiotic new war. You have factors like how the Democrat candidate is a desiccated old weirdo who pretty much called a lid on his campaign back in July and whose corruption is being shown to be more corrupting every single day.

Wisconsin’s Voter Registration Data Follows The National Trend; It Is Bad News For Democrats

via Red State Over the last several weeks I have covered the deep dives into voter registration data coming out of most of the battleground states. In North Carolina and Pennsylvania, Democrats have actually lost registered voters (while Republicans have gained), and in Florida and Nevada, Republicans have outpaced Democrats on voter registrations. In other battleground states, Trump counties have out-registered Clinton Counties, 2 to 1. This is much closer than the Democrats and MSM want you to believe it is.

Now Wisconsin, which went to Trump by less than 23,000 votes, continues to follow the trend, however that trend isn’t in added voters.  Since 2016 the State of Wisconsin lost over 145,000 voters, which shows that people are likely leaving the state.  In 2017, Wisconsin ranked 10th in the country for States that people had moved out of, showing young people had fled the state.  This is bad news for Democrats as young voters usually break for them by a factor of 3 to 1.  The loss of the young voter block will be bad news for Democrats come Election day.

On Meet the Press, Chuck Todd took to asking Corey Lewandowski about this and his response to the seasoned campaign vet put it right back into Chuck Todd’s lap:

Todd:  “Uh Alright, Let me stick with that first question there, and you’d started to answer, You said you don’t know the details of how many more staffers, Do you think it would be appropriate for him [Pence] to campaign in the next 24 hours or do you think he should quarantine? via The Hill. Nineteen years after his attack on the United States, whatever remains of Osama bin Laden, the person, today lies at the bottom of a cold, dark ocean. What remains of his ideology and movement is, at best, a mixed bag. Thanks to the efforts and sacrifice of American and allied military personnel, the impact of al Qaeda, the Taliban and ISIS is relatively limited at the moment.

The years that have passed since bin Laden’s attack have felt like a full two decades to those of us who have lived them — but they will be nothing but a blip on the screen to future generations.  Hard though it may be for us to believe, the times and travails of Presidents Bush, Obama and Trump likely will run together in the minds of future generations. 

If we take a step back and view history as it someday will be seen, what will be most obvious is a string of events in which bin Laden’s attacks led to a military response from the United States — which led to two protracted wars, which fed the radicalization of the American left (along with the media that support them) and, among other things, increased vitriol in American society. Ultimately, it all helped to shape the results of major elections.

To wit, without the attacks on 9/11, a backbench state senator from a failed Illinois government likely would not have been elected to the U.S. Senate in 2005 and then elected to the presidency …

The Advantage of 2020 Hindsight – 911, Woodward

As a part of the 9/11 Commission Report, US Intelligence Officials stated that threats to the US aviation industry were common in the ramping up to 9/11 including the prospect that terrorists would use hijacked US commercial aircraft as guided missiles.  After the reveal of the report, there were numerous Democrats who demanded to know why Bush had not done more to stop the 9/11 attacks with that information available.

Of course, the same Democrats, contextualizing their same statements in the timeframe of August 2001, cannot offer a single suggestion as to what specifically they would have done absent the hindsight they had at the time of the report.  They just want to know why no action was taken, despite the fact they can’t suggest what action they would have recommended.  Would they have told people not to panic, all while completely shutting down national air traffic?  Would they have required additional security at airports with simply the possibility of what was contained in the intelligence report?  The answer to all of the above is likely, no.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but this year, it is 2020.

VIA Amer Thinker … Some of my Democratic friends have asked me how I can possibly consider voting for Donald Trump in light of his vulgar comments about women and his alleged disrespect for fallen American soldiers.  The answer is that the election is not about Donald Trump or Joe Biden; it is about the future of the United States.  The renowned historian Victor Davis Hanson’s “Plague, Panic, and Protests — the Weird Election Year of 2020” requires about 30 minutes, but it is worth hearing if you have the time.

The “woke” Democrat left has published proven lies about President Trump to the effect that he advised people to swallow or inject themselves with disinfectants and bleach to cure coronavirus, and that he forced illegal alien detainees to drink out of toilets.  Trump asked, and the context was that the question was for medical doctors to answer, whether disinfectants and ultraviolet light can be used inside the human body.  Experiments are being tried with ultraviolet light, and inhalable antiviral drugs have been around for a long time.  Detention centers have fixtures that consist of a toilet and sink as a single unit, and detainees drink from the latter and not the former.  These proven lies about President Trump reflect on the credibility of the left’s other accusations.

This Obama-Biden Administration Failure Killed More Americans Than COVID-19

Via PJMEDIA Everyone on the left is trying to blame Donald Trump for COVID-19 and the deaths caused by it. Gov. Andrew Cuomo is trying to blame Trump for the outbreak in New York. Joe Biden wants voters to believe Trump is responsible for the deaths caused by a virus that started in and was covered up by China for weeks before alerting the World Health Organization. Joe Biden has claimed “it didn’t have to be this way” despite having failed to present a single alternative response to the virus. In fact, he often plagiarized Trump’s COVID-19 response by “proposing” actions that had already been implemented.

What the Democrats and the media don’t want us to know is that their scaremongering campaign against hydroxychloroquine, a drug Trump touted as a potential game-changer back in March, could have saved thousands of lives had they not turned public opinion against the drug simply because Trump had brought attention to it after a French study showed it had promise in treating the virus. In fact, countries that are widely using the drug early to treat patients have much lower death rates than those that aren’t.
